Maat Chile and the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción join forces to boost statistical analysis from the region.

This strategic alliance marks a milestone in the collaboration between the academic and business worlds. Focused on the exchange of statistical information, financial trend analysis, and responsible education, this agreement promises significant impacts nationwide, with special emphasis on the development and strengthening of the Biobío Region. Maat Chile, a leading credit bearou, and the prestigious Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción have formalized a collaboration agreement with a unique focus on the Biobío Region. This partnership will result in the creation of a report called “Diagnóstico Maat,” a quarterly report analyzing the financial situation of individuals and businesses, enhancing understanding of trends, and promoting financial education throughout the country.   Additionally, both institutions will conduct a detailed analysis of data related to overdue debt, providing accurate insights into relevant trends and the evolution of arrears in Chile. This collaborative effort will operate under a rigorous technical and academic framework. In the realm of outreach and education, the agreement includes the execution of informative talks and massive dissemination activities on the context of the research and information safeguarding. These activities will cover key topics such as cybersecurity, financial education, overdue debt for individuals and businesses, among others.   In this context, Maat Chile’s CEO, Frank Palma, stated that this agreement “is not only a strategic alliance between two organizations but also represents a deep commitment to decentralization and equitable development in our region. We are determined to contribute to economic and social growth, delivering more and better information to promote an informed and decentralized society.”

Similarly, the Dean of the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, Dr. Cristhian Mellado, noted that “forging collaborations is of utmost importance to us. Working hand in hand with the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences (FACEA – in Spanish stand for Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administrativas) is particularly significant, as it allows us to make our distinguished academics and students available. This alliance will enable us to conduct in-depth analyses, generate relevant reports, and facilitate professional internships. We aspire to train excellent professionals and contribute to community decision-making. With this approach, we aim to position the region at the forefront of information access.”

The agreement also includes facilitating professional and intermediate internships for students in various areas of Maat Chile, improving their academic and professional training. Andrés Arce, Chief Revenue Officer of Maat Chile, highlighted, “We are thrilled to collaborate forging ‘Diagnóstico Maat,’ a tool that will not only provide valuable information to our customers and the community but also contribute to the professional development of students. This initiative marks a pivotal step towards nurturing a more robust and responsible financial future for all.”

This collaboration not only solidifies our shared commitment to regional progress but also emphasizes the importance of financial education as a key tool for economic and social development. In a landscape where transparency and education are crucial, “Diagnóstico Maat” stands out as a promising project that will significantly contribute to understanding and building a solid and responsible financial future.
